Pretoria → Modimolle (Nylstroom) — roughly 120–130 km, about 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 30 in normal traffic.

1. From Pretoria, get onto the N1 North (signposted Polokwane/Bela-Bela) — from the CBD or east it’s easiest via the N1 at Wonderboom/Zambezi Drive.
2. Pass through Pumulani (Zambezi) Toll Plaza just north of Pretoria, then continue past Hammanskraal.
3. Pass through Carousel Toll Plaza, then continue past Bela-Bela (Warmbaths).
4. About 25 km after Bela-Bela, keep left and take the Modimolle / R33 off-ramp at Kranskop Toll Plaza (the off-ramp has its own small toll booth).
5. At the T-junction turn right onto the R33, which runs straight into Modimolle.
